Provence is impressively diverse. In the Alpilles olive groves, vineyards and cypress trees prevail as they do in Aix en Provence. The Vaucluse which is known for its wonderful fruit (cherries, peaches, apricots) is beautiful in both spring and autumn.

If you are interested in taking a closer look at individual gardens, there are quite a few remarkable gardens both public and private that we have identified for you knowing that the best time to visit is from April to June and again from September through October.

Why not take a sketchbook workshop in one of the gardens during your stay. The technique is simple and doesn't require any particular drawing skill; it has to do with playing with scales and the interesting effect of juxtaposition of forms. Novices or confirmed artists have fun creating their own page accompanied by a sketchbook artist instructor.
